• Kiln Imagery – Series Class


    Prerequisite: Kiln 1 or equivalent experience

    This class explores ways to draw and paint onto sheet glass. Over 4 classes, topics covered will include frit drawing, enamelling, bending stringers, sandblasting, coldworking, and multi layered firings. This class has lots of artistic freedom! Students will supply their own reference images, and should come to the first class with an 8×10 landscape. Colored pencils or oil paints are optional for enhancing your sandblasted imagery. All other supplies included. We will also cover the basics of programming a GB5 controller, and you will be authorized for kiln rental once completed. Class meets three hours per class for 4 classes. Ages 12 and up.

    The next Kiln Imagery Series will run Tuesdays and Thursdays from 1pm-4pm on Aug. 8, 10, 15 and 17.

    Kiln Imagery - Series Class

    Wear close-toed shoes and clothes made from natural fibers. If the gallery is closed during your class, please enter through the “West Entrance” door clearly marked and make your way to the neon shop. Be prepared for an exciting experience! This course requires a minimum of three students to run. You will receive a full refund if the class is cancelled. If you are unable to attend, please contact us four days prior to the class at 614/291-4250 or for a refund. All cancellations after that will receive 50% refund, no exceptions.
