• Glassquerade Admission

    Mardi Gras will be lit this year at Glass Axis’s Glassquerade featuring glassblowing furnaces raging over 2000*F. Celebrate Mardi Gras in style wearing your favorite mask for the 5th year of this masquerade event. Glassquerade will take place on Friday, February 2nd from 6pm-11pm at Glass Axis.

    New for this year’s event, there will be local winery and breweries set up throughout Glass Axis’s studios for guests to visit and sample. You can even drink your tastings out of a handblown glass tumbler made right here in Columbus! Enjoy tasty mardi gras favorites like jambalaya and find out who will win a special prize for finding the baby in their kings cake? Besides enjoying a local drinks and eats, guests will have the opportunity to watch and even make glass themselves.

    All evening Columbus glass artists will be demonstrating their glassblowing skills in our hot shop for partygoers to enjoy. You can even request and purchase custom pieces to be made right before your eyes! If you decide you want to play with fire, we will have hands-on glass making classes happening every hour during Glassquerade. You and your date can sculpt a glass Valentine heart paperweight with the help of one of our trained glass professionals helping you every step of the way. But hurry these heart classes are offered at a discount price only during this event, so make sure to reserve your class in advance to secure your chance to make glass art for yourself.
