• May at Glass Axis

2014 has absolutely flown. It seems like just yesterday we were balancing too many pumpkins to carry for last fall’s Pumpkin Patch. Today (May 17), members are already preparing for our 7th Annual Pumpkin Patch that is scheduled to take place at our new space in Franklinton! Nothing’s better than seeing members using the studio as much as they can before we have to start our move.

It’s hard to believe that May’s Free Last Saturday Demo is two weeks from TODAY. Toledo glass artist Sten Neuber will be visiting Glass Axis to demonstrate various pick-up techniques for making nut-shaped vessels. Her work is beautiful and intricate and we absolutely can’t wait to see her and her team in action. Come out from 4-6pm on May 31!cane 1

Don’t miss the second part of our Student & Recent Graduate Showcase exhibition. Carson Wedlake’s Details from a Diffuse Reflection will be on view through May 24. Carson transformed our gallery with the archway he built, which he encourages his viewers to walk around the piece, stand, sit, or even lay under the piece. He also has a buddhist temple-inspired piece, among others, which we think is fabulous. We love how it mimics our ceiling!
