Every last Saturday of the month Glass Axis presents free demonstrations. Watch as an artist makes their personal best. This in-depth demonstration shows the step-by-step process and finesse of creating glass art. In May, we feature Sten Neuber. Watch as Sten uses various pick-up techniques to create peanut and other nut-shaped vessels.
About Sten Neuber
“I’ve been working in glass since 2002, where I started at the Toledo Museum of Art in their high school program. I’ve studied art and glass at both Kent State and Bowling Green State University, receiving my BFA in glass from Bowling Green. Post graduation, I spent 2 months in Venice, Italy taking a glass class under Mattia Salvadore. I currently work as a studio technician, high school glass teache,. and a public demonstrator. I also work as the assistant and cold worker for Toledo artist, Matt Paskiet. My work on my own time is very inspired by nature; Mostly by animals but also the funny things in life that remind me of animals.”
