Call for Instructors to Teach Summer Intensive Workshops at Glass Axis
Glass Axis is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit glass art studio situated near downtown Columbus in the Franklinton Arts District. We are a fully equipped studio with hot shop, cold shop, and warm shop which includes neon and flameworking studios. Since 1987, we have been spreading glass art and education throughout central Ohio and now want to expand our facility by offering a summer workshop program. We have been fortunate enough to have some weekend and week-long workshops through the year, but hope to expand to a more developed summer session schedule. Our studio is within a few miles of both Columbus College of Art and Design and The Ohio State University. We are looking forward to offering students in the glass programs there, a place to continue their glass art education during the summer months that is affordable, as it is close to home and they wouldn’t have the added costs of travel and hotels.
We are currently looking for instructors for the 2018 Summer Sessions, May through August. Class length will depend on your specific workshop. We are happy to offer 2-day weekend workshops up to 5-day week long classes, additional length classes may be considered upon request. On the final day of class there will be a studio clean-up in the section of the studio that was used.

If you need or are not sure if we have a certain piece of equipment you would need for your class, feel free to ask us as we are constantly working on updating our facility and new equipment may be on the way or installed, but not yet added to the list.
