About the Artist
Glass has been in my blood for as long as I can remember. My childhood home was built on what used to be a bottle factory. One day while I was playing outside, I sliced my knee open on a piece of glass that had been embedded in the ground, a remnant of the old factory. Glass had literally entered my blood that day and has been a part of me ever since. I had the opportunity to travel overseas at a young age and watch the Venetian masters blow glass. When I returned to the U.S. I was so inspired, I signed up for a fusing glass class that was offered at my high school. I continued to study glass at Kent State University, from which I have recently graduated. Currently I work in Marblehead, Ohio at Ferguson’s Cut Glass Originals, where I am continuing to do what I love.
