Give your kids something fun and unique to do this summer and join us for our kid’s camps! During our summer camp, kids will be led by our instructor, Lauren Pritt a state licensed teacher currently teaching at Columbus Prep Academy. These camps are 4 days of fun! Each day, your child will safely create beautiful glass masterpieces while learning all about art and science.
Some of the fun projects in store include fusing glass, using small pieces of glass along with glass “sprinkles” called frit to draw one-of-a-kind pictures that can be turned into plates and jewelry. They will be introduced to mosaics and use mosaic tiles to decorate their very own flower pot. Spin art has always been a staple in childhood arts, but now we’re bringing glass into the spin art experience! Students will use glass paints and glass sheets to create glass spin art! They will even get to watch a glassblowing demonstration and learn a little bit of glass science and history while the artists perform their making process. And of course, no summer camp is complete without tie dye!
These classes are for kids ages 7-10 and will run during June 20-23 (Tuesday-Friday) and July 17-20 (Monday-Thursday) from 12pm-4pm each day. There will be an allotted time for a snack break, but we ask that each child bring their own snacks.
